Rose Gakuru, RN, MHCDS

Rose is the Senior Director of Clinical Services at the largest home care agency in Massachusetts. She began her career as a direct care worker for autistic adults and as a CNA in nursing homes. She has been in home care nursing for more than 10 years, working for an innovative and successful home care nursing organization. 

Rose managed a large team of Case Managers and oversaw the creation of relationships with new vendors resulting in her organization becoming their preferred provider. She was also instrumental in guiding the clinical team through major structural changes and the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Rose and her team use data analysis to guide care delivery at home for adults with severe mental illness through nursing case management. Her passions include streamlining processes to increase productivity and turning failing teams around through situational analysis and coaching. As a forward thinker and change agent, she is in constant pursuit of new ways and technology to solve some of the major challenges that plague healthcare delivery.  The completion of her Master’s degree in Health Care Delivery Science at Dartmouth College has increased her focus and commitment to care delivery, healthcare equity, and the importance of strong and effective leadership.
